Pennsylvania State Police State police are looking for a vehicle of interest involved in a fatal hit-and-run on the Pennsylvania Turnpike in Somerset County.

A female pedestrian was killed Jan. 4 after being hit by a vehicle just before the Somerset exit, troopers said. That vehicle fled eastbound. State police said the woman and a man got out of a vehicle stopped on the left shoulder of the highway at milepost 109.8 and crossed the road near the Somerset exit ramp. Pennsylvania Crime Stoppers said the couple was attempting to cross the highway to get back to their disabled vehicle when the woman was hit by another vehicle. The suspect’s vehicle likely will have damage to the front end, front corner and mirror, according to the organization.
