Riverhead declares state of emergency to keep asylum seekers

An executive order, signed by Riverhead Supervisor Yvette Aguiar, contends that an "influx" of asylum-seekers would overwhelm schools and stretch town resources. Other Suffolk town officials say talk of a wave of migrants coming from NYC is a baseless rumor.
