Sedalia Police Reports For April 5, 2021 This article is compiled from the Sedalia Police Department reports. Early Monday morning, Sedalia Police initiated a traffic stop on a motor vehicle for expired registration. Upon contact with the driver and occupant, Officers smelled the odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle. The vehicle was searched and marijuana paraphernalia and two marijuana joints were found. A city summons was issued to Megan E. Stevens, 27, of Green Ridge for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia with a court date. Both Stevens and the driver were released from the scene.
Sunday morning, Officers responded to the Prime Time Store, 216 West Broadway Boulevard, in reference to an assault that had just occurred. Officers arrived on scene and found the injured victim in the parking lot. The suspect is known to the victim. No contact has been made with the suspect at this time. Charges for Assault in the 3rd Degree will be sent to the prosecutor for review.
