NEW YORK, NY — The state's largest coronavirus vaccination sites have officially opened their doors in Queens and Brooklyn. The mass vaccination facilities— set up at York College in Jamaica and Medgar Evers College in Crown Heights — opened their doors at 8 a.m. Wednesday with a full schedule of appointments for residents of the surrounding ZIP codes and a celebratory press conference from Gov. Andrew Cuomo. Both facilities are set to give out 3,000 vaccinations per day through a state-federal partnership to target areas that were hardest hit by the pandemic.
