Shasta County DA: Redding man guilty of 2nd-degree murder in 2020 DUI crash View Comments A 43-year-old Redding man was convicted of second-degree murder for the 2020 DUI crash that killed a woman on Highway 299, the Shasta County District Attorney's Office said Wednesday. Hawk Blaze Bergstrom was found guilty Tuesday. Bergstrom faces 15 years to life in state prison, the DA's office said. Investigators said Bergstrom was driving a 1999 Toyota pickup when he crossed the double yellow line and collided head-on with a 1992 Chevy S-10 pickup being driven by Diana Schalk on the evening of Jan. 20, 2020. The crash happened near Grizzly Gulch Road west of Redding in the area of Whiskeytown Lake.
