(Photo by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention on Unsplash) OKLAHOMA CITY – The fact that the Oklahoma City-County Health Department and the county’s large hospital systems have managed to administer more than 55,000 doses of COVID-19 vaccine since Dec. 14 is all the more impressive when considering the challenges faced in obtaining and distributing the vaccine, members of the Oklahoma City-County Board of Health said Thursday. “This is an ever-evolving situation,” OCCHD Executive Director Patrick McGough said during Thursday’s board meeting, held at the NE Regional Health & Wellness Campus at 2600 NE 63rd St. in Oklahoma City. Often, information received in the morning regarding how much vaccine is coming has become inaccurate by that evening, McGough said.
