Los Angeles Sparks January 21, 2021 LOS ANGELES – Los Angeles Sparks General Manager/Head Coach Derek Fisher announced today the renewal of Assistant Coach Fred Williams’ contract. Williams joined the Sparks coaching staff prior to the 2019 season and has played a vital role in the team’s success over the last two seasons. “I am extremely thankful that Coach Fisher and the Sparks ownership group have given me the opportunity to continue my coaching career in Los Angeles,” Williams said. “I look forward to working towards a championship with a great group of women this season.” In his two seasons with the Sparks, the team went 37-19 in regular season play and entered both postseasons as the No. 3 seed.
