Most employees are likely to return next year, but some will be back later this year. It has been more than a year since what was then-FCA and other companies in Michigan and around the country launched a remote work revolution as the pandemic began to reshape daily life. Blue-collar workers at Stellantis, a company of 400,000 employees worldwide, and other automakers experienced plant closures early in the pandemic but have largely been back at work ever since.
