There was hope for those still holding out for a foreign getaway this summer with the latest update on the EU Digital Cert. Last week the Government announced plans to allow foreign travel to resume in July, and now the countries that will be welcoming Irish tourists have been announced. The certs are due to come into effect from 1 July but Irish visitors won’t be able to make use of them for almost another three weeks. As it stands there are three phases for EU countries to welcome back tourists; those that are connected and issuing the cert, those that are preparing to connect, and those that are still in the test phase.
