Article content Feb. 12 Mental health: Starting Feb. 16 and in partnership with Compass Boussole Akii-Izhinoogan, Conseil scolaire public du Grand Nord de l’Ontario, Rainbow District School Board, Sudbury Catholic District School Board, and Conseil scolaire catholique du Nouvel-Ontario, Sudbury and Manitoulin parents of children up to age 25 facing mental health challenges can now join the Parent’s Lifeline of Eastern Ontario for a five-week online Parent Support Group, with additional support from the organization’s Parents’ Helpline. English groups for parents of children up to age 25 can register for sessions held 7-8:30 p.m. Tuesdays starting Feb. 16 and running through to March 16. A second set of sessions will be held 7-8:30 p.m Tuesdays starting March 23 and running through to April 20. French groups for parents of children up to age 25 can register for sessions held 7-8:30 p.m. Mondays starting Feb. 22 and running through to March 22. A second set of sessions will be held 7-8:30 p.m. Mondays starting March 29 and running through to May 3. The support provided in the sessions will be guided by participants. Common themes will include understanding your child’s concerning symptoms or diagnosis, finding resources and support for your child and family, and navigating services for your child at home, in the community, and at school.
