International research has only confirmed our opinion of the Morrison government’s tax cuts (‘‘Top-end tax cuts fail economy and boost inequality: studies’’, December 21). This government has always favoured the top end of town and always will. It’s time voters stopped falling for the nonsense. Frydenberg claimed the tax cuts would reward effort and ‘‘encourage aspiration’’, but they will only increase exasperation. The cuts were supposed to protect ordinary workers from ‘‘bracket creep’’, not give them the creeps.
