♪ on voting rights. joining us now, senator amy klobuchar of minnesota. >> thanks for being with us. >> do you see tonight as a major setback tore voting rights? and do you think a failure to get something done on this issue hurts democrats in november? >> well, first of all, we are still in the middle of it, anderson. we had the first vote which would allow us simply to get on the bill. senator manchin and sinema voted with us on this because they actually do fully support this bill and that's important to know. it is much needed right now with all of the suppression laws that are being passed across the country that will greatly hurt voters and make it harder for them to vote. um, and so next up, there is going to be a debate. and then, we will look at the rules of the senate. and if that does fail in changing the rules because we have no support on the republican side to change them, um, then i guess i will quote martin luther king. he once said that disappointment is finite but hope is infinite.
