understand that nixon's abuse of powers were a threat. we -- if you look through history, you hook at how slowly we were to realize the problem with world war ii. it's just something inherent about a democracy that doesn't move quickly. so, people are watching this, and they're wondering, well, maybe this is just a -- an idiosyncratic event and it'll all right itself, and go away. the posse will come in and take care of it that's not going to happen. we are the posse. we got to take care of it and so, you know, this isn't right. and trump is not hiding what he has in mind. >> john, mike pence's former chief of staff, mark short -- he was with pence on the capitol, um, during the capitol attack. he participated in the critical white house meeting -- this was on january 4th. and we are talking about a top aide here. is this a good sign that the committee will get the full picture of trump's pressure campaign, even if pence doesn't testify?
