in other words, hbo says they weren't hacked. the episodes were given to somebody on purpose and then got on to the internet. this is important, of course, because "game of thrones" one of the most pirated shows on all of television. >> it's routinely done where there's an advanced copy given to critics, reporters. are they going to launch any sort of investigation into how this happened? >> they've indicated they are looking into exactly what the source was. i have a feeling they will be able to figure out where these episodes came from because when i get embargoed copies of tv shows usually they're watermarked so you're able to get back to the original source of where they came from. this is something for hbo because they are trying to build a brand new business about internet distribution. you ooshlly you get it through cable but you can sign up for hbo vee at internet and going after the kind of people that would in the past have tried to pirate their episodes and go on-line and find stolen versions. hbo is trying to turn those people into paying subscribers
