island is the best guess at this point. once it makes landfall it's expected to veer pretty sharply back out over open water. when it comes in, storm surge is the biggest concern, the red area here, 3 to 5 feet, but even over the coast of new jersey, 1 to 3 feet. and rain surge as well. upstate new england, vermont, new hampshire could end up getting several inches of rain triggering downed trees and power lines there, not just along the coast. >> yeah. and this isn't an area that frequently gets hurricanes. i certainly hope they are taking preparations. allison chinchar, thanks so much. we want to pivot now to the chaotic withdrawal from afghanistan. the u.s. embassy is telling americans in kabul not to come to the airport unless they've been instructed to by the u.s. government. they're pointing to security threats outside of hamid karzai national. >> yeah, thousands of international citizens are so
