why? because you set precedent. and you set a precedent that is used in the future and that is meaningful for our democracy. so yes, the idea the process doesn't matter is just wrong. it's very, very important for justice to be served. and justice in this way. and this is my point that i was making. the democrats, it seems very clear to me are not interested in actually getting the conviction of this president. if they were interested in getting a conviction of this president and i can go back to the '90s and say pretty much the same thing of the republicans in the house in the '90s. they were not interested in really getting the conviction of this president. >> okay. >> and they didn't work like they did in the '70s on a bipartisan basis to try to bring people in, to try to get a consensus. >> rick, rick, come on. >> it's a hardened process that will make it hard for them. >> that is absurd.
