are trapped inside. they have little food, no power, no heat. the frigid temperatures, and of course, they've been coming under constant shelling. we're hearing from ukrainian authorities that once again they were not able to ship in or rather, drive in a huge amount of humanitarian aid that is so desperately needed because apparently, that convoy came under some kind of fire. the russians are proposing once again to do a very similar cease-fire tomorrow morning, starting at 9:00 a.m. local time. ukrainian authorities have only responded by saying, it is difficult to trust the occupiers. so i think that gives you a sense of the skepticism here on the ground. not just from authorities but from ordinary people who find it hard to believe at this stage that there will be a concerted and sincere effort to really ensure that people can get out, and that much needed aid can finally get in.
