When you think about it the president campaigned very heavily on this in terms of the Immigration Crisis and people have generally agreed this is an intractable problem but it really has reached a crisis point. You even have the New York Times saying we have a crisis at the southern border. Why wouldnt mexico is one of our Economic Partners they have some of the responsibility. Have some skin in the game. Why is it always that the United States is disproportionately affected with other people not doing their fair share . This is in sound keeping with the president s policy of being tough on immigration, Border Security, really securing it so we dont have these porous borders where people are coming over, there is human trafficking. There are drugs coming in. Crime. And having worked as a prosecutor for many years in San Francisco which was a sanctuary city and in los angeles i saw all too well the real problem of people coming in, criminal recidivists multiple times deported and coming back in like we saw with kate steinle in San Francisco. No question it is real. We both know if youre worried about criminality the place to start isnt with illegal entrants but there is no question there are criminals among them and repeat offenders. Its a hard problem. We still wind up in the same place. I get going after mexico. We both know they are the weaker partner. They dont have the capabilities the United States has. Last year one of the biggest roundups. Over a thousand people. Kids are going to be in bad trouble. Weve had six pass. Who knows what will happen . Absolutely. There was some indication there were facebook attempts, etcetera, to interfere with the election, right . But again, what did we find . Specifically that there was so much money spent, millions and millions of dollars, two years on an investigation that yielded no results. Despite the bias that was inherent. There was a result. Russian interference happened. It was pernicious, widespread. It has continued. When you say it was pernicious and widespread there has been no determination it had an impact whatsoever on the United States election. Should that type of thing be taken seriously if its happening and investigated . Sure. What do you mean if its happening . Do you think it happened . Im reading reports that say they think there were attempts with facebook, etcetera. Do i think it was widespread or pernicious . No i do not. Do i think it had an impact on the 2016 election . No. Do i think the democrats wish it did so they could have another excuse to say why President Trump is in the oval office . No obstruction, no collusion, and now theyre saying there is a coverup. I get the talking point. You know none of that is true. I do know that is true. There was no criminal conspiracy thank god. The president wasnt a traitor or a foreign agent. No proof of any of that. Thank god. But they wasted the taxpayers money. They owe the taxpayers an apology. They did things they knew they shouldnt have done and lied about it. Where was there any finding that there was any kind of insufficient evidence, no evidence whatsoever about collusion . Giving information to a guy with russian intel . Stupid move. Taking that meeting in trump tower . Stupid move. Where is the evidence of any obstruction and collusion whatsoever . That is collusion. It is not a crime. If Robert Mueller who over stepped his bounds by coming forward and making that statement had found any evidence, the prosecutors job as you know i am a former prosecutor, is to determine if there is sufficient evidence that a crime has been committed and that that individual is guilty of that crime. Prosecutor or not thats his job. He found no evidence to support that. In fact, he he found a lot of evidence to support it but said he couldnt prosecute it. William barr went a step further and released the whole report. There has been transparency. Theyve put up with witch hunts and investigation here. They know the strong economy, as you know, you come from a family of politics. Strong economy incumbents get reelected. They dont want to see the president remain in the oval office. Who is they . The democrats and many people in the main stream media. Mueller is not a democrat. I dont know what he registered as but i do know what he did. Sessions wasnt a democrat. I do know what he did in overstepping his bounds. Let me tell you something. In the Kenneth Starr report and he did the investigation on bill clinton 11 times he used the word guilty right . Did you ever Robert Mueller ever use those words . Whatsoever . No. How was he going to get him on obstruction when he has guidance not to indict a sitting president and, two, when the guy at the center of it wouldnt give him answers. The subpoenas, the fbi agents, this was an investigation that went on and on. They wanted a predetermined outcome. They didnt get it. He didnt give them anything on obstruction. Because he didnt commit obstruction. He cant be part of an antitrump situation. He is a life long republican. I dont know if he is part of an antitrump situation or not but i know as a prosecutor he over stepped his bounds to try to appease the democrats who were upset because they were hoping he was going to be santa claus for them to put the president out of office. Hes an independent broker. He always has been. In fact he over stepped his bounds and made those statements. I think he did it in your favor because he is supposed to say prosecutor declined but he cant because his hands are tied so he wants to explain and he says, i cant do this. Im not even going to say if i found criminal activity because i dont want to be unfair to the president because he wont have his day in court. But i cant say he didnt do anything wrong. I cant exonerate him. I thought he bent over backward to be fair. William barr said specifically mueller could have reached a conclusion and not violated dod policy, quote, to make charges or indict a sitting president. If he had the evidence to support it, he would have read it in the report. It wasnt there. He does. He has five different counts of obstruction that have significant nothing against the president. There is no finding or conclusion that the president obstructed justice. He said he couldnt and he left to congress. Now well see what they do with it. Additionally as william barr said the doj, the investigations they do, do not serve as an adjunct to congress. They just want a different outcome so now theyre going to continue to do this. Who is they . The democrats and the cast of characters running trying to unseat President Trump. This is what theyre raising money on, impeachment, impeachment. So are you. Im not raising money on it. The campaign put something out saying they want to impeach the president. Give us money. The people that support the president of the United States believe in him and theyve seen that in fact despite this president being completely cooperative he didnt sit for an interview. He didnt answer a single question on obstruction. The president was totally transparent and cooperative with this investigation. Except he didnt sit for aint view or answer a single question about obstruction. There is no evidence of it. I know. He didnt talk to them. There is no evidence of the obstruction. There is a lot of evidence of it. They didnt get any directly from him. Now they say he engaged in a coverup . Of what . Innocence . Come on. It is absolutely ridiculous. His efforts to control during that proceeding was what they were looking at. Now itll come to congress and i make you this promise. This must end. It has to. Well, it should be ended already. Even when this president then stumbled today in a tweet in what appeared to be an admission of the basic threat that russia attacked our election and did so to help him, he then had to backpedal to this. We know russia not only tried to help the Trump Campaign and only the Trump Campaign but the Trump Campaign expected to benefit from its interference. Even the Republicanled SenateIntel Committee found, quote, there was no pro clinton content on facebook or instagram as part of the russian influence campaign.
