Businesses to figure out how to keep their workers safe. We need businesses to also reimagine how theyre going to do business and get ready to protect their workforce through change their physical environment to the extent they need to. Dana President Trump in a town hall with Fox News Channel updating the American People on virus projections. We begin with chief White House Correspondent john roberts. He is live from the north on. Happy monday to you, john. Happy monday if there is such a thing these days, dana. Fox news has confirmed that in the last little while there has been a report leaked from hhs and fema. It is an assessment of where we are heading in terms of coronavirus. The number of deaths per day may increase to 3,000 and the number of infections per day may rise from the current level of 25,002 max somewhere up around 100,000, all of this taking place in the next month. However, we are also told that the initial reporting about this new projection, it was reported that the modeling data about projected cases and deaths came from the centers for disease control. Fox news is told that those numbers actually came from Johns Hopkins and that we are also told that the data likely does not take into account continued mitigation during a reopening and we are also told that it doesnt track at all with the modeling that has been done by dr. Birx and her team on the Coronavirus Task force. In a statement, the white house saying this is not a white house document nor has it been presented to the Coronavirus Task force were gone through interagency vetting, the state is not reflective of any of the modeling done by the task force were dated at the task force has analyzed, the president guidelines to open up america again or a scientific driven approach that the top health and Infectious Disease experts in the federal government agreed with. Im also told that while the while the Coronavirus Task force has not seen this, dr. Birx has, and she has concerns about it. The institute for Health Metrics and evaluations presides its projections for mortality, saying the death toll will likely be more than 70,000. Thats probably low because we are already at 68,000. Heres what the president said about it last night. President trump we are going to lose anywhere from 75000100000 people. Thats a horrible thing, we shouldnt lose one person over this, they should have been stopped in china, it shouldve been stopped. If we didnt do it, the minimum we would have lost is a million, 2 million, 4 million, 5 million. Thats the minimum. The administration is leaning increasingly towards the laboratory in wuhan china is the source of the virus. A Senior Intelligence official telling me over the weekend that as many of three quarters of the Central Intelligence agencys belief that virus escaped from the lab by mistake. Secretary of state pompeo saying yesterday there is significant evidence that the virus came out of the lab, and last night, the president saying this. President trump were going to be giving a very strong report as to exactly what we think happened. I think it will be very conclusive. Is there any suggestion it was anything nefarious, or was it just a mistake . Mark President Trump i think they made a horrible mistake, and they didnt want to admit it. Not all of the 17 intelligence agencies agree the virus came out of the laboratory. One of the reasons why is because, dana, at this point there is no sort of smoking gun. No conclusive evidence. Im told by Senior Intelligence officials, there may never be that smoking gun. So we may never know for sure. Dana. Dana right. Understandable. John roberts, thank you. President trump is also taking on what he calls the hostile press during last nights town hall, saying he is treated worse than lincoln was, howie kurtz reaction just ahead on that. If barack obama had any indication that there was an issue, barack obama would not have had him as his Vice President. Barack obama trusted joe biden, i trust joe biden. Just because youre a survivor doesnt mean that every claim is equal. It means we give them the ability to make their case, and the other side as well. And then to make a judgment that is informed. I am very comfortable that joe biden is who he says he is. Dana democrats coming to former Vice President joe bidens defense after he denied a Sexual Assault accusation against him on friday. Biden called for the National Archives to release any info related to the allegations, but today, the secretary of the senate, the Controlling Authority they are said legally that cant happen. So lets bring in our panel, marie hart, ox news contributor and matt gorman, Vice President at targeted victory and former Communications Director for the National Republican congressional committee. Marie, do you have any concern about the integrity of the me too movement in the position that so many democrats, especially Democratic Women have taken in the last few years when it comes to sexual harassment, and accusations of even raoe . I dont, dana, thats because the concept of believing women means listening to their stories, taking them seriously, and having them thoroughly investigated and vetted. Vice President Biden has been a strong proponent of the me too movement and of women in general through his work in the United States senate. And this allegation, the way joe biden has responded by calling for a full investigation, by going back, again, to the senate and saying how can i get any information you might have because women absolutely should be listened to, their claims and allegations should be investigated, and those investigations will get us to the truth. And the truth, in this situation, is that there is no evidence that joe biden sexually assaulted someone, so i think democrats have been handling this by supporting a full investigation, totally consistently with what weve said during the me too movement. Dana all right, matt, i can imagine that republicans think thats a little bit galling, to hear that an investigation for example, the New York Times said the dnc, the Democratic National committee should investigate joe biden. Absolutely. The dnc investigating joe biden is ludicrous. Tom perez already ruled out. He says the trust joe biden. Just like David Axelrod and Gretchen Whitmer said. Look, imagine proposing that during cavanaugh. That the rnc would run an investigation looking into the allegations. They would be left out of the room. In this argument from David Axelrod and others that you know, if it was okay for obama, that he vouches for joe biden, then it should be accepted across the board, again, trusted biden, trust obama argument is ridiculous. Democrats have paved themselves into a corner here, they dont have good answers, a couple years ago, it was believe women, believe all women coming forward, and now, it is trust joe biden. Dana marie, so, i think that democrats are just going to coalesce behind joe biden regardless. I truly do. You saw, over the weekend, none of the high profile democrats moved away from joe biden in anyway. So i think thats going to happen, but what about how this has refocused republicans minds about how Brett Kavanaugh was treated when he was going through the Supreme Court nomination. For example, he had gone through senate vetting. This argument that the obama team is making now, that in 2008, when he was vetted to be Vice President , they didnt find anything. Well, in the Senate Confirmation of Brett Kavanaugh in the mid2,000, nothing was found either. So i dont know if thats a really great argument, but politically, i wonder what the democrats think about how this reminds republicans about how they felt during that cavanaugh time. Well, Vice President ial vetting is much more intense than even Supreme Court justice vetting done by the senate. I think its just the data points, there is an extremely thorough vat done by Vice President biden, and nothing came out. The democrats arent saying that you should trust joe biden, i certainly do not think the dnc should be the one investigating this, and neither does joe biden. He is asked where the secretary of the senate, the National Archives, anyone who might have information to come forward with this, because he has said, it isnt true, and what democrats wanted with Brett Kavanaugh was a full investigation that they never got, and when Brett Kavanaugh was confronted with this, he said he didnt want investigation, biden has done the exact opposite, dana. Dana all right. Matt, let me just give you a quick final word on that before ive got to go. Sure, the fbi did investigate Brett Kavanaugh as part of that initial senate vetting. Lets remember, here, joe biden will not allow the release of the university of delaware documents. That is not transparency, that is not what he promised. You had cavanaugh, people going through his high school yearbook, line by line, an old 30year calendar, it is clear, clear double standard. Dana dont forget, they checked out his yearbooks too from high school. All right, marie, matt gorman, thank you so much. A handful of major u. S. Airlines are now changing their policies to keep customers and cruises safe during the pandemic. Youre going to want to Pay Attention to this, it will affect you, we will speak with United Airlines executive about his companys new requirement for all passengers, next. Its that simple. With their va streamline refi, theres no Income Verification or home appraisal. And this refi costs you absolutely nothing out of pocket. Its the quickest and easiest refi newday has ever offered. One call can save you 2000. Dana major u. S. Airlines are ramping up Safety Measures onboard flights amid the covid19 crisis. At least eight airlines have announced that they will start requiring passengers to wear masks or face coverings while traveling in an effort to stop the spread of coronavirus. John is former White House Press secretary now the chief Communications Officer for United Airlines. Their new Safety Policies go into effect today. Josh, great to see you, tell me about the decision making, what were the pros and cons, and how did the company decide to require people to wear face masks or coverings flights . Good afternoon, dana, really nice to see you, i appreciate the opportunity to be here. The reason we instituted this requirement today, today is actually the day that we were able to have enough inventory of masks to be able to provide them to all of our customers at the gate. So, for folks who are planning to travel in the next couple of days and united, we recommend you bring your own mask, but if you dont have one, we will provide you with one at the gate. It is just part of the long series of steps that we are taking to ensure that safety and wellbeing of the customers on board aircraft. Im sure there is no airline in the world thats doing more than united to ensure that people can travel safely on board our aircraft. Dana so, what happens if somebody doesnt want to wear a mask, or take the mask off midflight . Is there a penalty, who enforces it . Well, it is a requirement, we certainly are going to be asking everybody to wear a mask and leave it on during the flight. But dana, this is not unlike the kind of direction that passengers regularly get from flight attendants shortly before landing. You are asked to bring your seat back to its full upright and locked position, and you are asked to stow your tray table. In this case, youre also going to be asked to wear a mask. Given the consequences, given the public guidance weve gotten from the cdc, that people who are in public should wear masks, we are pretty confident that our customers are going to comply. Dana how often will the company reevaluate this decision . Will the appoint where you take a look at the data and decide that this is a requirement that is no longer needed . Dana, moving forward, were going to be constantly evaluating all procedures that we put in place to try to make traveling a little bit more safe. One of the other things that weve done is we have actually overhauled our cleaning procedures. Weve purchased something called an electrostatic sprayer. We bought about 750 of them, these are devices that they used to disinfect hospital rooms. Were actually going to be using them to clean the interior of our aircraft. Thats something that starting next month, we will do that before every single flight. So theres a lot that we are doing to ensure the safety and wellbeing of the traveling public. We are going to continue to try to follow the advice of Public Health professionals and listen to her customers so we can be sure were not just meeting their expectations, but exceeding their expectations when it comes to ensuring the safety and wellbeing of our crew and customers on board our planes. Dana i know people are anxious, i would love to go see my mom in colorado once the lockdowns are relaxed, and this might just be the norm new normal that we have for a while, because we have to travel at some point, i know youre anxious to get business back up and running too. Great to see you, thank you. Thank you, dana. Dana and a historic first as the Supreme Court is hearing oral arguments by phone. The court adjusting amid covid19 with all the justices working remotely. And, in another first, the Court Proceeding is being live streamed to the public. Davids font is live with the Supreme Court with more. This is a big deal, david, for people who have long wanted these hearings to be public. Dana, its a massive deal, anybody in their world could hear those arguments today, the Supreme Court justices literally founded in today. It took a world pandemic to make technological changes at the Supreme Court. Ova, ova, ova. All persons having business before the honorable, the Supreme Court of the United States. We will hear argument this morning in case 1946. The lawyers in the nine justices were on a Conference Call from different parts of the country. Audio feed on foxnews. Com and on cspan. Todays case, dana, focused on trademarking common terms with a focus on the website booking. Com. Unlike the freeforall questioning, normally justices are used to, this time they spoke one and a time in order of seniority. In a rare moment, dana, Justice Clarence thomas once went a decade without asking a question, guess what, he had one today, listen. Justice thomas. Yes, miss ross, a couple of questions. Could booking acquire an 800 number that the vanity number. 1800booking for example . Dana, another time the public could hear oral arguments was the bush v gore back in 2000 that was a tape delay, that will continue this begin next week, the electoral college, also the president s financial records, certainly a major, major day here at at the Supreme Court. Dana. Dana yeah, i am of mixed opinion. Im more of a traditionalist, but i realize that this is the way the world is going. David spun, thank you.
