breaking news. >> i hoped for good news, but it's going to take a long time. we are not out of the woods. not by far. >> a long road ahead for bay area residents. three wildfires continuing to burn across the region and forcing thousands from their homes. firefighters are working nonstop trying to get the upper hand. good evening. thanks for joining us. i'm ama daetz. >> and i'm dan ashley. once again, these three fire zones are the focus of firefighting efforts in the bay area. the lnu lightning complex to the noshlth. the scu lightning complex west of san francisco. and the czu lightning complex to the south. now, here's where things stand as of this moment. nearly half a million acres have burned. although it's likely we've crossed that threshold already. more than 530 structures are destroyed. the lnu lightning complex fires have killed at least four residents. in all, at least 94,000 people have been evacuated across the bay area, although that number is likely much higher. those numbers are not readily available for the scu complex
