High school. And no one calls police. Tonight, the a girl beats up a boy at a Bay Area High School and no one called police. Tonight the explanation we got from the principal. That video has gone viral. Millions of people have seen it. The fight broke out on the campus of Sonoma Valley high school. Mark kelly shows us. Reporter the school lunch fight gone viral shows a girl throw a boy to the ground. Hey oh [ crowd noise ] reporter knee him in the face, then she runs off. Right now who is that girl reporter new video given exclusively to kpix 5 shows moments before the video. [ cursing ] reporter you can see the girl take a swing at the boy. At one point, someone tries holding her back. Disappointed that there was an altercation on campus. Reporter School Administration believes something said on social media sparked this school yard brawl. It happened thursday and has been viewed nearly 12 million times on facebook. Were working with our community, our students to talk about social responsibility, digital citizenship, to understand the effects of social media. Reporter students tell us both teens in the fight are freshmans. The boy goes to Sonoma Valley high, and the girl creak side high. As far as i know, there are not any major issues between our schools and were not in competition. Reporter the school asked facebook to take down the video. But according to the school, facebook declined saying the video does not violate its community standards. The lesson that comes out of this is that students would definitely think twice. And if its not nice, dont post it. Reporter the principal says police were not called to the high school when the fight broke out because they have a School Resource officer onstaff. Work in a school. That School Resource officer is a deputy with the shs department. Three teenagers in the hospital in berkeley following a shooting on Parker Street near san pablo avenue just after 7 30. There arent a lot of details. But police did tell us the victims were sitting in a car. At this point they were parked and stationary in the vehicle from my understanding. And somebody did actually open fire on the vehicle. I dont know specifically if there was somebody in the car they were trying to target or the group as a whole. The shooter still on the loosdz. Victims are loose. Were born to need less sleep. Reporter a genetic mutation allows people like abbey to function on little sleep. No matter if i get two, three, four hours, i always feel energetic and awake. Sheep says because they she says because they sleep more efficiently than the rest of us. I look at this as a gift. My day is longer than most people. I can get more things done. I just love this.
