A Young Musician killed in el sobrante was targeted because of his race, police say. The Contra Costa Sheriffs Department says that three men beat, shot and robbed William Simms on november 12 at the capri club. A 31yearold is in jail without bail charged with murder, robbery and hate crime. Detectives are looking for two other suspects 32yearold ray simmons of hercules and 31year old Daniel Ortega of novato. Simms was a gifted musician who worked at best buy. He was 28. Reporter San Jose Police believe they have solved the case of a dead man in evergreen. They believe 57yearold cook nguyen killed her husband and killed sheffer last week. She was found in a car on south white road and died at a hospital after killing herself last week. An autopsy determined the husband died from bluntforce trauma. There is no word on a motive. Santa rosa police want your help in finding a man suspected of sexual assault. They released this sketch yesterday. They say this man attacked a woman october 15 near ridgeway avenue. The victim escaped. Police say that the suspect is in his 20s about 58 tall. A 2,500 reward is being offered for information leading to an arrest. Ucberkeley is reporting a sexual assault. A Man Told Police he was assaulted yesterday morning in a coop housing unit by a man he met on the internet. So far, there are no arrests in the case. The Santa Clara City Council has voted unanimously to give 49ers ownership a 30 day warning threatening to take control of the football stadium. The warning accuses 49ers management of breaching a contract by not handing over its financial documents mayor lisa gillmor says city funds may have been used to subsidize security for stadium events. That would be in violation of voterapproved measure j which puts city money toward construction of the stadium. 49ers Officials Say they wont hand over the documents but will let the city review them. So we have some tips to keep you and your homes safe. Firefighters respond to as many as 1400 cooking fires on thanksgiving. Three times more than any other day. And to avoid disaster, firefighters say never douse the cooking fire with water or flour. Instead, place another pan on top of the fire to put it out. Another tip . Never leave cooking food unattended. If you have to leave the kitchen, call in reinforcements. Assign somebody to keep an eye on the cook at all times.
