We havent really seen in recent years these. People are demanding change. So to me this exhibit seems timely. Tell me about to inspiration. The inspiration is the bay areas long history of social Justice Movements combined with everything thats happening right now. So it has to do with all different kinds of media. It looks at a wide range of visual artworks poetry, music, and all of the different types of social issues that were really struggling with right here in the bay area. Take me there. I know its been open about a week, correct . Yes. A weak today. Describe the experience that visitors will have when they go there. What will they see . What will they hear . We have in the grand lobby, a free unticketed space, we have an installation from the bay area society for art and activism which has an experimental timeline of movements in the bay area. We also have a series of screenings which looks at the situation for africanamericans in San Francisco in the early 60s. You also see here going into the galleries we have works by 18 different artists, technologists and activists. It really occupies a lot of space at yerba buena, which is pretty spectacular. Tell us about the goal. This is not just for the bout tee of the art. I feel like its deeper than. That and how when visitors two, i read that you want to inspire participation there on the site, and also online. So describe that for us. In life in general. The exhibition really wants to demonstrate that we all have agency in the politics of right now, and we have a brochure that were giving away for free with amazing writing from Rebecca Solomon and jeff chang and myself, talking about protests and different strategies for protest, and given that this is an Election Year i really want people to understand that individual that theyre a part of collective change making.
