Reporter the dodger fans were coming out of a bar near the ballpark when they ran across the giants fan and there was some sort of a confrontation. It escalated. By the end of it, a 24yearold had been stabbed. He was ultimately killed. This is a dmv photo she want to show you. 24yearold jonathan denver. He was with the Dodgers Group with his father, his fathers girlfriend and brother and a friend. They just left the giants game in the 8th inning and went to the bar. After 11 40, thats when they left, they crossed paths with the giants group near harrison and third street. Officers were still in the area from our ballpark deployment and two suspects were taken into custody at second and howard streets. We do not have the weapon in custody. We are canvassing the area for that now. Were also looking for the two other suspects. We would request from the public and or any business in the area if anybody has any video with regard to this, we would like to have it. Reporter we know that the suspect vehicle is registered out of lodi. We do know that one of them is 18, another 21 years old. We dont know what city the victim is from. But San Francisco police say there really plan to they really plan to beef of you security. The chief says theres absolutely no tollration for this sort of behavior. Its somebody that starts off between two sports teams and escalates to violence. Two suspects in custody. But police are searching for two more. Board of directors ultimately makes the decision as to what offer may be presented from the unions. Union members showed up to speak urging moment and negotiations. Board of directors have the final say so on what goes on. They are the ones that approve or dont approve whatever tentative agreement is reached. You are hoping to make an impression on them . If no deal is reached, they say a strike is possible when a cordordered coolingoff period ends. Board members seem to be backing away from having managers operate the trains in case of a strike but other strike plans are in full swing. An 18yearold man is now considered the only person of interest in the brutal beating of a pleasanton homeowner. Police say david lamont was attack on saturday when he attacked on saturday when he tried to confront a young man making noise outside of his home. Hes still in a coma. Investigators say the person of interest does not live in pleasanton. A vigil is scheduled for tonight to remember a San FranciscoState University student who police say is the victim of a random killing at a muni stop. Justin valdez was gunned down in the citys Ingleside Heights neighborhoods. Investigators say he was seen on a muni camera right before the shooting. The kind of person justin was, he did not deserve what happened to him. The guy deserves to be punished for it, like Justice Needs to be served. Reporter valdez grew up in southern california. Friends say he was a good student a swimmer and someone who is passionate about the environment. Tonights vigil will be at 7 00 at San Francisco state. Menlo park is one step closer to buying four surveillance cameras and three license plate readers. The City Council Approved the Police Departments request for the new equipment but adds it cannot be used until an ordinance is in place to address privacy concerns. The surveillance dam cameras will be mounted the surveillance cameras will be mounted in the bel haven neighborhood and license plate readers be atarped to patrol cars. Police officers are warning the public about a telephone scam involving unpaid loan debts and traffic tickets. In the calls, it shows a legitimate number and the caller claims to be from the sfpd. Contact has been made through e mail and preordered calls. In the loan scam, the caller demands a payment of 500 in the unpaid traffic scam the caller asks for 154 or more. The caller instructs victims to purchase cash load cars as payments. The Police Department says as a matter of policy it never contacts anyone by phone for payments. Richmond police are investigating two letters sent to de Anza High School as a possible hate crime. One letter says the students are a nuisance near a business. The first letter arrived on september 12th. The second later came a week later. Police are speaking to businesses near the high school as they search for suspects. Police are looking to see if there are more children as a man is arrested for child pornography. Heres more. Reporter police say Joshua Paul James had a video camera and was filming them and taking photographs. He followed them. He was focusing on inappropriate body arts to fulfill some of his sexual fantasies and sexual gratifications. Reporter the girls took down the license plate of the car, they tracked it and they tracked him down. A parent called police after he was seen taking pictures near pacific collegiate school. Neighbors were upset by the news. I have to start keeping more of an eye out and being more watchful. Im more trusting. Were greatly concerned. Were happy that this guy is behind bars. Reporter police are convinced without the action of the students and neighbors james would have struck again. A forecast of high winds has fire officials on alert today. The National Weather service has issued a red flag warning for the hills in the north and east bay. Its in effect until 3 00 tomorrow afternoon. One concern is trees that are not trimmed. Any time we get trees close to power lines, its a concern. Most of the time its not because we dont have the wind. As you can see, the wind is up today and that allows force the trees to for the trees to sway into the power lines and that can absolutely cause a fire. Pg e planned to have nearly a hundred crews cutting back trees in an effort to prevent outages and fires. Reporter its clear for miles and miles. We cant find a cloud unless its up toward the sierra nevada. The big news, we had the red flag warning. It was cold. A lot of 30s and 40s from lake county, to mendocino.
