>> i'm jeff. karen is off tonight. elderly church worker is found dead on church grounds. police are calling it murder. the victim of a robbery. he was known as someone with a big heart. keith, what can you kill us? >> we are -- tell us? >> we're live on north avenue near aiken street. milton hill, he was 70-year-old. church members say he would do anything for anybody at any time. he would often volunteer his time daiiy here at the church. he had just trimmed the church's hedges. he lived right next store in an apartment above the store. he was found slumped against a fence, lying in a pool of blood shot to death. his friend, a church deacon, says the scooter hill used to get around town, a retirement gift he bought himself was missing. tomorrow, relatives are calling the party robbery and murder another senseless crime. >> i pray to god that whoever did it, that they turn themselves in. that they don't get any rest at all. no sleep for what they took a life that they did not give. >> baltimore city police are investigating. so far they have little to go on, no suspect or motive. we're live in east baltimore. fox 45 news at5:30. >> a man is shot and killed overnight in northwest baltimore around midnight on florence avenue near west belvedere. a 36-year-old man was shot in the head. he was rushed to the hospital where he later died. a new trial issordered for a baltimore man accused of murdering a taxi driver. the jury failed to reach a decision for robert lee murphy. prosecutors say he wanted a cheap ride from frederick and couldn't afford the $150 fee. he robbed at shot the cab driver shortly after researching the city of baltimore. a west minister man, sentenced to 50 years for attacking a woman with a hammer. -olice station say paul scott went to a friend's house in may and tried to rape her. he hit her in the head with the hammer several times during the attack, according to police. court documents indicate this is scott's 9th assault conviction. a new report out lines how widespread animal cruelty is in the city of baltimore and what can be done about it. john rydell joining us with what's in that reported. >> this report outlines many disturbing indications of animal connection between many of those cases and violence against humans. one of the most pluckily sized cases, the knock named phoenix -- dog named phoenix who was burned to death. the task force wants tougher penalties for those convicted. the sheriff is very disturbed by the age of many of those accused. >> in some many of these crimms we find jjveniles were the perpetrators. in some instances they were as young as 10-years-old. that's a huge wakeup call for a city. >> the task force says the city should implement a low cost stay and neuter clinic for pit bulls. >> thank you. now that brings us to our question of the day. should bbltimore city adopt the recommendations of the animal abuse task force?
