murder investigation. sherrie. reporter: good morning. anne arundel county police are trying to figure out who killed a man and dumped his body near the laurel park racetrack. detectives say a person in the wood came across the body around 10:30 sunday morning and immediately called police. the man suffered from blunt force trauma to the head and investigators searched the area about 4 hundred yards from the road looking for any clues. it s an area where homeless people are known to camp out. this homicide comes a month after a homeless woman was set on fire also in laurel but on the howard county side. pamela myers died of severe burns. perboyfriend is a suspect in her murder. police are not saying if the two incidents have any connection. it sounds like somebody is after the homeless people. like two incidents like that just doesn t happen. reporter: so far, police have not eye dent fitted victim s body. in the studio, sherrie johnson, abc2 news. a baltimore police officer is recovering in the hospital after being shot in the chest. police say officers approached a 30-year-old franklin gross on calvert street because he appeared to be careying a gun. he ran away and fired at the officers who shot back. gross is charged with the attempted murder, assault and hand gun offenses. he is under police guard at the hospital this morning. police are not releasing the name of the officers who was shot because he is a victim of a crime. it s being referreds to as september 11th of world diplomacy. wikileaks is released more confidential documents threatening american diplomatic relations. many of the state department classified secrets and they have bun to appear in the press. the material is deplorable. i agree with the pentagon s assessment the people at webbingy leaks could have blood on their hands. wikileaks could have blood on their hands. the document include private communications about foreign condition tries and leaders. the subject differs coast. you see the hint of cloud approaching from central and eastern section of ohio. well watch the forecast model. it indicates we may have high clouds later today. but tonight and tomorrow morning, they will come in in ernest and looks like an overcast sky for most of tomorrow. and as the storm develops, we will pick up a stronger south eastern wind. and wind tomorrow could push 20 to 30 miles per hour to later in the day. that will warm us up through the afternoon and probably hit the high temperature just before midnight. rain comes in in the afternoon through midnight. and it could be real heavy as we head through wednesday morning. our cold front back here and ahead it, we will have wind on wednesday morning that could push 30 to 40 miles per hour. we could see up to two inches of rain around central maryland that. could lead to possible flooding especially for clogged storm drains from the leaves that had recently fallen and collected and we will see the rain push out of here in the afternoon. today, a dry day. after the profity morning, 48 is the two degree guaranteed high. and few clouds mixed in in the afternoon sun. clouds thicken up especially after midnight. that keeps us from getting as cold at 35. tomorrow is the day where high temperatures just before midnight warming through 50s. strong gusty winds and rain in the afternoon and evening last
