UISD ready for first asynchronous day Jan. 17, 2021 FacebookTwitterEmail Monday will be the first upcoming asynchronous day at UISD. It is the first of four that will span across the upcoming months of the 2020-21 school year and give teachers and students the opportunity to catch up on late work and plan lessons accordingly. The days approved by the Texas Education Agency will allow teachers to prepare their course work with an emphasis on helping students that may have struggled in class this week. According to UISD, the following asynchronous days will be on Feb. 12, April 23 and May 21. The day can be used by students to turn in late work, review a lesson they were struggling on or continue working on their current course work. For teachers, the next four days will allow them time to upload lessons, plan future lessons, catch up on grading and more, UISD Deputy Superintendent Gloria Rendon said.
