18 Previously, miR-183 has also been determined in the initiation and progression of osteosarcoma; 19–22 nevertheless, the prognostic and biological roles of miR‐183-5p in osteosarcoma remain unclear. In this study, we explored the prognostic and biological functions of miR-183-5p in the progression of osteosarcoma. We revealed that miR-183-5p was upregulated in human primary osteosarcoma tissues and cell lines, and that high expression of miR-183-5p was associated with unfavorable prognosis in osteosarcoma patients. In addition, miR-183-5p was found to play a role in promoting osteosarcoma cell proliferation, migration and invasion in vitro. Materials and Methods
