On April 25th, the American Ballet Theatre will be debuting Lauren Lovetteâs La Follia Variations in Segerstrom Hall in California as a part of the program âUniting in Movementâ composed of three works by contemporary choreographers: Jessica Lang, Lauren Lovette, and Darrell Grand Moultrie. For its grand return to the stage, the company is teaming up with ready-to-wear designerâknown to many in the industry as the God of KnitwearâVictor Glemaud, who has designed show-stopping costumes for the performance. Though itâs Glemaudâs first time designing costumes, itâs a challenge he was excited for. âI just wanted it to feel really celebratory,â he said. âA lot of these dancers havenât performed in over a year, so I just really wanted to showcase the physicality of what they do through the costumes.â
