Taipei, Jan. 28 (CNA) Huang Fang-yen (黃芳彥), a Taiwanese fugitive wanted for his involvement in a corruption case involving former first lady Wu Shu-jen (吳淑珍), died recently in the United States aged 73, his brother said Thursday. Huang Chung-yen (黃重彥) said he learned about the death when his niece, who lives in the U.S., called him that morning to tell him his older brother had been found dead in a car parked in his residential building after going missing for several days. While the exact time of Huang's death remains unclear, Huang Chung-yen, who practices medicine in the central city of Taichung, said mixing alcohol with sleeping pills could be the cause of the death, after a local media outlet reported the older Huang was found dead by a superintendent in the building with sleeping pills and alcohol in the car.
