Whataburger to open employee training center as part of its

A vacant building at 5905 Constitution Ave. in Colorado Springs, which had been home to a Big 5 Sporting Goods store, will be remodeled into an employee training center for Whataburger. A franchisee for the Texas-based chain will hire more than 100 people for the first Whataburger in the Springs, which is scheduled to open by year's end at InterQuest Marketplace, northeast of Interstate 25 and InterQuest Parkway on the city's north side.
