Psychology Professor Dacher Keltner of the Greater Good Science Center at Berkeley UC says new research has found 16 facial expressions common around the world. He says the findings can help promote cross-cultural empathy and promote global co-operation. “The physical display of our emotions may define who we are as a species, enhancing our communication and cooperation skills and ensuring our survival.”
