That’s the scenario the Board of Alders approved in a “right to recall” ordinance that will strengthen the ability of laid-off hotel workers to return to their former jobs when the hotel industry begins hiring again. Under the ordinance, hotels would hire workers back to their old positions, or a similar position, in the order of how many years the employee had worked their positions.
