Vorkapich grew up in Burlington and moved to Arizona with her sons Matthew and Bryan 30 years ago. She found a job at America West Airlines, a small regional domestic carrier where she designed and programmed computer systems. "Their claim to fame was that they were the only ones who provided free alcoholic beverages the whole flight," Vorkapich said. "Thus they went bankrupt."
