After that, she wonders: Then what? Based on advice from doctors, Ruys doesnât expect her daily life to change immediately. She recently turned down an invitation for a St. Patrickâs Day party, as she worries about the vaccineâs performance against the new variants, as well as spreading the virus to others. âI think Iâll have to take it a day at a time,â the 75-year-old Streeterville neighborhood resident said.
