YANGON Myanmar’s military regime killed nine more civilians on Saturday, boosting the protest-related total death toll to at least 92 in the 41 days since the coup on Feb. 1.
In a deadly crackdown on a sit-in protest against the regime in Mandalay region’s Sein Pan quarter, at least five people were shot dead. The casualty toll was expected to climb higher as soldiers and police opened up with sustained bursts of gunfire, wounding many. ....

CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) - All veterans in northeast Ohio are now able to get the vaccine, regardless of age or health conditions, as long as they’re enrolled with the Cleveland VA.
19 News spoke with one veteran who urges others to get the shot as soon as they can.
Mitch Leibsla from Coventry was a sergeant in the U.S. Army.
“Iraq combat veteran, I served in Iraq in ’05, ’06. Drove tanks, I was a tank driver,” he said. ....

Siblings looking to ID their father's World War II photos - Veterans

MINOT, N.D. Siblings Dana Perkins and Alice Smith are hoping people in North Dakota and other areas in the country might be able to help them identify a large collection of photos that their father took while he was stationed in Hawaii in the 1940s after the attack on Pearl Harbor.
Perkins recently contacted The Minot Daily News about their World War II Pacific Veterans Project.
When World War II veteran Richard Erlon Perkins died several years ago at the age of 92, his son, Dana, of Saco, Maine, and daughter, Alice, of Yarmouth, Maine, found the large tin filled with rolls of film negatives at his home. The film negatives had never been converted into photographic prints. ....
