The Biden administration on Friday announced it will restrict travel from India as the first U.S. relief arrived to help the country deal with a fast-growing COVID-19 crisis.
On the advice of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the Administration will restrict travel from India starting immediately, White House press secretary Jen Psaki said in a statement. Chinese President Xi Jinping on Friday sends a message of condolences to Indian PM Narendra Modi over India s worsening COVID-19 crisis. Xi said China is willing to enhance cooperation with India in the fight against COVID-19 and provide help to the country.
Analysts hailed the move as China s firing of the biggest goodwill to its neighbor who is ravaged by the pandemic. 
In the message, Xi said that he is concerned about India s COVID-19 situation; and he sends condolences to the Indian government and people, in the name of the Chinese government, people and himself.  ....

Officials from around the world sent their condolences to Israel on Friday morning, following the stampede at Mount Meron that killed at least 45 people and injured over 150 others.
US Secretary of State Antony Blinken said he was “deeply saddened” by the tragedy.
“We mourn the lives lost, extend our deepest condolences to the families, and pray for the injured to recover quickly,” he wrote on Twitter.
In a tweet, US National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan said: “Our hearts go out to the people of Israel tonight following the terrible tragedy at Mount Meron.” He sent condolences to the families of the victims and well-wishes to those injured. ....
