Border Business Women Make up for Lost Time
Business Women Albury Wodonga are celebrating the return of face to face networking in style, with their next event on International Women’s Day 8 March.
Chair Desiree Georgiou says women in business have missed opportunities to network and collaborate in person due to the pandemic and border closures.
“We’ve been home for such a long time and to get back into the community on a business perspective is really fabulous for women, whether they are business owners, employees or start-ups,” Desiree said.

“There’s been a lot of sad stories and also a lot of success stories, so it’s great to get everyone to collaborate together and get business back on track.”

Rainfall Upwards Between 50 and 120mm Are Likely Across The Region
Severe weather is knocking on our door with meteorologists predicting a dynamic day and warning the time to prepare is now.
Speaking with Kylie and Kev, Prime7 news anchor and meteorologist Karl Lijnders says the North East and Southern NSW region is forecast for a very wet day.

“Severe thunderstorms are very likely, with strong to severe weather right throughout the day,” Karl warned.
“Rainfall upwards between 50 and 120mm are likely across the region over the coming 24 to 36 hours, so again flood watches are likely to be issued or re-issued if they haven’t already been by the Bureau.

With kids heading back to school, the Murrumbidgee Local Health District is urging parents to pay close attention to what they put in lunchboxes.

They say the link between good nutrition and learning outcomes is very clear.
"There's a strong link we know of now between nutrition and children's learning," says MLHD Health Promotion Coordinator, Brendan Pearson.
"We're talking about adequate amounts of food, and then there's even more evidence around the
types of food we eat. Children are more likely to concentrate, learn better and have better academic outcomes if they eat foods that are nutritious."
