We don't know exactly which statutes they're looking at. we don't know which statutes he might be charged with or what statutes he might be convicted of. one statute has gotten a lot of attention in the last several days, destruction of government records does have a provision -- not to suggest, it says straightforwardly that it causes removal from office and you shall not be able to enter upon federal office again. that seems straight forward, and scholars have been arguing about it. i think there is a pretty powerful and decent argument that that conflicts with the constitutional requirement...
