>> people everywhere running, out of breath, crying. a lot of people were shot. >> reporter: but the bloody holiday weekend violence continued in chicago where authorities say at least 30 people have been shot and 3 killed, and police in wichita, kansas, are now investigating a mass shooting in a nightclub early sunday morning that left seven people with gunshot wounds. as of july 2nd, over 21,000 people have died from gun violence this year according to the gun violence archive. that's an average of roughly 115 deaths each day. as for mass shootings, there have been 338 of those in 2023. >> staggering numbers. ike joins us now live from baltimore where the search for possible suspects is still under way. ike, where does the investigation stand tonight? >> reporter: will, rachel, as of now, the mayor's office a and the baltimore police department say they have no suspects or motives related to this incident. they're asking anyone with information to come forward.
