People in southwestern japan are on high alert for what could be one of the worst storms in decades. Typhoon neoguri is bearing down on okinawa and ka garb show prefectures. More than 500,000 people have been advised to find safe shelter already weather officials are warning of heavy rain, high winds, waves and storm surges. Authorities have advised around 590,000 residents throughout okinawa prefecture to evacuate.
