As chairman of the president s Advisory Board on historically black colleges and universities. Actually this started under president jimmy carter and every president democrat and republican since then has appointed a board as well as a chair so i was privileged to serve president obama and the Obama Administration and hbcus in this capacity. The chief reason for us is to be an advocate for the very good work that so many of our historically black colleges and universities are doing.
