Good morning. Good morning. Good morning, everyone. As we begin our final day of consideration of the fy21 spending bills, id like to thank you all for your kind words and well wishes and ask you, please, to indulge me in just a few more reflections. I came to congress in 1989, one of just 31 women in the house and senate and to this committee in 1993 alongside only six other women under the 64member panel. This body is better for the 100 women serving in the 116th congress and for the many women in the room today. Its my honor to address the full committee for my final time as the first woman chair. This vintage rv is home. I didnt plan on living here. I just, lost my job, about a year and a half ago. And i couldnt find a place that i could afford. Hes not alone. We counted six rvs parked on this street on thursday. The city wants them to leave. We are good people. You know, i work every day. The Mayors Office tells us they are giving rv owners until march 28th to remove their vehicles. San franciscos transportation code prevents any vehicle from being parked on a street for more than 72 hours. Its a great spot. I can understand why theyre here, but its limited parking. The Mayors Office says that parking these large vehicles along this windy, narrow road is dangerous, and that the raw sewage being dumped here is a safety hazard.
