UCLA faculty members can comment on topics related to the March 5 local, state and national election and ballot measures.

Associated Students UCLA announced new on-campus dining options for this academic year, including two new restaurants. ASUCLA opened the açaí bowl shop SAMBAZON in the Ackerman Student Union, a Chocolate Vanilla Twist soft serve ice cream location at Northern Lights and All Rise Pizza at Lu Valle Commons.

The First To Go program hosted a soiree Wednesday for students in their family’s first generation to attend a four-year college. The First-Gen Welcome Soiree was hosted in Bruin Plaza outside the Ackerman Student Union to connect undergraduate students, graduate students, faculty and staff with key campus resources.

The Undergraduate Students Association Council started the fall quarter by discussing beginning-of-the-year events and hiring plans. USAC is the official student government representing the undergraduate student body at UCLA.

UCLA’s Transfer Student Center hosted an event aimed at welcoming new transfer students to UCLA on Tuesday. Transferpalooza was hosted at the outdoor spaces of the Ackerman Student Union and Kerckhoff Hall from 4 to 6 p.m.
