Biden Admin to Ramp Up Experiments Using Aborted Baby Baby Parts

16 Apr 2021
The Biden-Harris administration’s Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) announced it is reversing the Trump administration’s decision to end taxpayer funding for experimental research that uses fetal tissue derived from aborted babies.
The National Institutes of Health (NIH), an agency under the authority of HHS, announced Friday an “Update on Changes to NIH Requirements Regarding Proposed Human Fetal Tissue Research”:
On June 5, 2019, HHS announced that NIH intramural research that requires new acquisition of human fetal tissue from elective abortions will not be conducted. Simultaneously, HHS announced new requirements for documentation and review by an Ethics Advisory Board of extramural research applications for NIH grants, cooperative agreements, and R&D contracts proposing the use of human fetal tissue obtained from elective abortions. ....

A Grim Reminder That the Fetal Tissue Market Is Still Open for Business

David Prentice is vice president and research director for the Charlotte Lozier Institute.
One consequence of the recent election is likely to be a surge in efforts to justify research using tissue and organs harvested from the bodies of unborn children killed in elective abortions.
A new study in Nature describes how scientists at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill have created a “humanized” mouse, called the human “lung-only” mouse.
The article is drawing media attention, ostensibly because the mouse is important for studying the virus that causes COVID-19.
A deep dive reveals that lung tissue from at least 12 aborted babies was used for the study. The babies were likely between 16 and 22 weeks of gestation. ....

Jill Biden Takes the Mask Cult to Another Level

AP Photo/Patrick Semansky
Jill Biden, who I’m assured must be addressed as a doctor despite not being a doctor, put out an ad yesterday in which she decided to take the mask cult to another level.
Apparently, you need to wear a mask while outside walking your dog. Why? Well, there’s no real reason why. Just do it, you peons.
Don’t forget to mask up – even when you’re out walking your dog. (P.S. – Champ and Major agree!) pic.twitter.com/Ovedz4CdiQ
I’m not sure Joe Biden’s dogs agreeing is much of an endorsement of anything. I mean, my dog licks the remnants of his junk and rolls around in the mud for fun. Dogs are great, but I’m not looking to take advice on masking from them, though, to be fair, they may have more expertise than “Dr.” Jill Biden does on the topic. ....

On the 48th anniversary of Roe v. Wade, questions remain in Planned Parenthood controversies

South Dakota Gov. Kristi Noem addresses an abortion bill she will discusses in the upcoming state of the state address.
As the nation marks the 48th anniversary of Roe v. Wade and President Trump’s term has come to an end, questions remain about how the former administration had addressed congressional concerns surrounding Planned Parenthood Federation of America’s (PPFA) fetal-tissue practices and its lack of action that ultimately prompted criticism from conservatives.
Roughly a week before Trump left office, the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) proposed a rule that would purportedly strengthen requirements for informed consent from mothers, as well as prevent fetal-tissue trafficking in federally funded studies issues raised after HHS terminated in 2018 its contract with a tissue procurer that worked with PPFA. ....
