Drogheda United have confirmed that their pre-season friendly against the Blues will take place at United Park on Saturday 8th July (KO 2pm).
The game will be Town’s first of their pre-season programme, which will include the now-annual week training at the Carton House Hotel in Co Kildare. Unlike in previous seasons the Blues won’t be playing Shelbourne.
Former Colchester United midfielder Mark Kinsella is currently first-team coach at Drogheda, who are seventh in the Airtricity Premier League (top flight).
Town boss Mick McCarthy revealed on Friday that games against Colchester and Southend will also be among this summer’s friendlies. ....
