Sheridan Avenue Should Be Construction-Free by June 15

Written by Andrew-Rossi on May 12, 2021
It’s a race to the finish line for construction on Sheridan Avenue, with W.Y.D.O.T. and construction crews confident they’ll reach the mid-June deadline.
The Sheridan Avenue rehabilitation project is within a month of its conclusion, after a year of intense work to completely overhaul the road, sidewalks, and crosswalks.
2021 threw numerous construction delays at the road crews. But sudden snowstorms and subzero temperatures weren’t enough to slow things down.
Cody Beers, W.Y.D.O.T. Public Relations Specialist, has expressed his confidence construction crews will finish the entire project by the June 15

If you’re noticing construction barrels popping up all over Sheridan Avenue, it’s the sign the year-long project is winding down, minus the finishing touches.
The Sheridan Avenue rehabilitation project continues chugging along. WYDOT and S&S Builders are eyeing the early summer finish line by this point, but there’s still lots of work to be done.
Work will continue on concrete slab replacement, concrete pavement, curb and gutter, double gutter, sidewalk, and ADA upgrades. Last week focuses on the stretch of road from Alger Avenue to Stampede Avenue on the east half of 17th Street.

Cody Concrete Pours Down 17th Street April 1st & 2nd

Cody Concrete Pours Down 17th Street April 1st & 2nd
Written by Andrew-Rossi on April 1, 2021
After two delays, it’s time for the Sheridan Avenue rehabilitation project to slow down and go downhill – so you’ll want to plan your Cody drive accordingly.
Starting Thursday, April 1, fifty trucks and 500 cubic yards of concrete will be poured down 17
th Street towards Alger Avenue.
When the pour commences, one-way traffic with flaggers will be utilized around the work zone. Drivers can anticipate delays all day Thursday and at least part of Friday, depending on progress.
WYDOT Public Relations Specialist Cody Beers recommends Cody’s drivers seek alternate routes – Heart Mountain Street and South Fork Avenue – during the concrete placement. Avoiding the hill will reduce your waiting time and lessen traffic in the work zone.
