Euphoria is pretty much over, but i don t understand why there is so much boredom, or lack of excitement about the republican field this year. i mean, come on. if you can t field a candidate that can beat barack obama, with his incredible failure, his record of economic failure over the last two years, then maybe it s just time to fold your political party tent and step aside and let somebody else move in. alison: hold on, maybe that is a little premature. maybe some of the lack luster response that you re sensing is that we know some of these guys. we ve seen them before, there is a sense of deja vu. obviously we know former speaker of the house newt grinning rich. mitt romney has taken a stab at this before. maybe it s that. although there are interesting newcomers. ....

Turns out we haven t hit bottom. it doesn t make tense to me why anyone would think we were at the bottom. we don t have all the foreclosures coming through the pipes out yet. we rely on money to go shopping for lenders. they are tightening that. with foreclosures not out of the hole yet and loans more expensive. in october it will get worse when the jumbo loans go up. prices will have to go down because americans have less money to spend. alison: liz i guess we thought we had hit bottom because we weren t talking about it like we were a year ago. that s right. the felt like we were going along and were in the bottom part of that u. we are down 33, 34% since housing peaked in june, july of 06. yeah it s going to be another year. i mean i thought maybe we would come out of it, but that was optimistic. look, we were in an ....
