Titled the Second Amendment Preservation Act, the bill would prohibit a state or municipal agency in Alask from knowingly enforcing, attempting to enforce, or participating in the enforcement of "an order of the President of the United States, a federal regulation, or a law enacted by the United States Congress relating to firearms, firearm accessories, or ammunition if the enforcement or implementation is against a law-abiding citizen." It would also bar state and local agencies from providing "material aid or support" in the enforcement or implementation of the same.

Mississippi has long been known as one of the worst states for providing a lawyer to any defendant who can’t afford one. In one rural county, most defendants in a lower court went without any lawyer before their cases were sent to a grand jury.

The Arizona Senate passed the Defend the Guard Act, a bill that would empower the governor to stop unconstitutional foreign combat deployments of the state’s National Guard troops.

The proposed law would legalize the possession of marijuana for adults 21 and over, and create a tax and regulatory scheme for the commercial cultivation and sale of cannabis and cannabis products. A maximum of 15 licensed stores would begin opening approximately two years after the law was enacted.

On Wednesday, the South Carolina Senate passed a bill to legalize medical marijuana, ban the state from enforcing federal banking laws related to cannabis, and prohibit state and local agencies from informing the federal government about any firearm owner who uses medical marijuana.
