Amaravati, April 15 : Andhra Pradesh Governor Biswa Bhushan Harichandan participated in the video conference convened by Prime Minister Narendra Modi to review the coronavirus pandemic situation, in which all the Governors have been asked to supplement the efforts of their respective states to tackle the virus.
"Governors can play an important role with the involvement of Red Cross volunteers, ex-servicemen, NCC, NSS, NGOs, youth associations in creating awareness among the people on Covid appropriate behaviour such as maintaining social distance, wearing mask, vaccination, etc. and curb the spread of the virus," said Modi.

Amaravati, March 8 : Australian High Commissioner to India, Barry O' Farrell, along with the country's Australian Consul General at Chennai, Sarah Kirlew, called on Andhra Pradesh Governor Biswa Bhushan Harichandan on Monday.
Meeting the Governor at the Raj Bhavan, Farrell informed him that the relationship between Australia and India is very strong, aided by the umpteen initiatives taken by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
The High Commissioner informed Harichandan that he took charge in May 2020, during the middle of the Coronavirus pandemic and closely watched the country's response to overcome the pandemic.

Amaravati, Jan 26 : Andhra Pradesh Governor Biswa Bhushan Harichandan said the state is marching ahead with emphasis on education, health care, agriculture and welfare, on Tuesday at the 72nd Republic Day celebrations.
“The beneficiaries are selected in a transparent manner without any scope for discrimination on the basis of caste, creed, religion or political affiliation by implementing the schemes in a saturation mode by covering all eligible persons,” said Harichandan.
According to the Governor, the state has passed through testing times with the outbreak of coronavirus pandemic and the government has effectively handled the situation by taking measures to win accolades from across the country.
